‘A youth community learning, volunteering and educational outreach program.’
PATRA working in partnerships with organisations and entities that are creating
impact in all fronts within the communities to help support and preserve their
legacies through youth involvement and participation. This program helps to
facilitate the needed ‘intergenerational bridge’ with the guided involvement of
youths in meaningful community learning and volunteering opportunities to
garner their interest, enhance their skills and ensure their involvement in the
numerous and ongoing value adding community activities and programs.
The program entails two broad strands of ‘Youth educational workshops’ and
‘community learning and volunteering’ opportunities: a purposive education for
young people in recognizing and safeguarding against knife crime and awareness
creation around the Joint Enterprise law, employability skills and career
pathways, as well as opportunities of youth involvement and participation in a
range of community impact local activities to create and facilitate a character
building means through community learning and volunteering.
