Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Assists in various Sport Science departmental tasks including (but not limited to) force plate testing, wearable technology operation, and data analysis and reporting.
General Responsibilities
- Coordinates and performs fitness/medical testing to determine physical condition of clients and to identify health issues that might impact performance.
- Works with patients or clients to develop customized fitness, nutrition, and exercise programs.
- Regularly evaluates overall health and cardiovascular functioning of patient.
- Schedules and organizes various company and community screenings including spirometry, prostate and fitness screenings.
- Assists with maintaining medical records of clinic patients, arranges ancillary testing, obtains test results, and ensures diagnostic testing is available to the appropriate physician and cardiac rehab.

Combinations of related education and experience may be considered. Education beyond the minimum required may be substituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted for education.
EDUCATION
Required - Bachelor's degree in exercise science or related field
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required - 1 year of related work experience
Preferred
- 1 year of experience in ant athletic performance environment at the collegiate or professional level (including internships)
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
Required - ACSM American College of Sports Medicine upon date of hire; OR
- ASEP American Society of Exercise Physiologists upon date of hire
SKILLS
Required - Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Maintains a high degree of professionalism
- Demonstrated time management and priority setting skills
- Demonstrates a high commitment to quality
- Possesses flexibility to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty
Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
Additional Information The term for this position is for 1 year, beginning as soon as possible.
