CT Technologist - CT Tech
Job Details:
• Provide radiographic and sonographic examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation
• Exercise professional judgement in performance of procedures applying principles of radiation protection
• Perform diagnostic medical radiography/sonography within department and other areas
• Must be able to take call and report to work within 20 minutes
• Rotate shifts as required
• Must be willing to learn other imaging modalities as Manager sees fit
• Must be able to perform duties in two fields of imaging and willing to work outside of modality (Ultrasound, MRI, CT, Mammography)
• Maintain competency in ancillary modality
• Perform mammography procedures including breast needle localization, specimen radiography, quality control, screening, diagnostic, and stereotactic breast biopsy
• Actively pursue five CEU mammography credits per year per ACR/FDA requirements
• Perform 100 mammograms per year per ACR/FDA requirements
• Perform all requested ultrasound exams for diagnostic interpretation
• Perform CT and interventional procedures with knowledge of invasive procedures
• Able to perform venipuncture
• Follow standard precautions procedures
• Current ARRT in Radiography OR Current ARDMS in one category (Abd or OB/GYN) required
• BLS certification required within 45 days of start
• Clinical Competency required within 3 months of hire and every three years
• Must provide 2 fingerprint cards upon acceptance of position
• Must live at least 50+ miles away from facility address
