Job Description

Salary: $150,000 - 200,000 per year Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 8 years of demonstrated experience in front-end/UI development for web and/or mobile applications, coupled with back-end .NET or Java application development experience.
  • Proven expertise in software architecture and design patterns.
  • Extensive experience in building scalable, responsive, and high-performance UI components using ReactJS and/or VueJS (experience with both is highly favored).
  • Strong grasp of UI/UX principles, mobile-first design, accessibility standards (WCAG), and cross-browser/platform compatibility.
  • Familiarity with design systems and component libraries (e.g., Material UI, Ant Design, Vuetify).
  • Experience in mobile development using frameworks like React Native or progressive web apps (PWAs) is an advantage.
  • Proficient in build/package/deploy tools such as Gradle, Maven, NPM, and/or GitHub Actions.
  • Knowledgeable in relational database services like SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with cloud services and architectural best practices within AWS.
  • Expertise in building/buying proposals and requests for proposals (RFPs).
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Engineering Directors on architecture to address business needs and enhance efficiency within the organization.
  • Mentor and elevate engineering teams on technical approaches for software development, testing, and documentation.
  • Investigate methods and work alongside engineering teams to bolster the security, resilience, maintainability, and quality of existing and forthcoming technical solutions.
  • Define and steer the technical vision for projects, ensuring alignment with the strategic goals of the company.
  • Oversee the architecture and design of complex systems, prioritizing scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to engineering teams, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks for potential implementation.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for software development, including coding standards, testing methodologies, and deployment processes.
  • Lead initiatives in troubleshooting and resolving high-priority technical issues to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for systems and processes.
