Job Title: Dynamics 365 Migration Engineer (Gov/DoD)

Location: Remote (U.S. only)
Clearance: Active Tier 2 Public Trust (T2) or higher required
Citizenship: U.S. Citizen required


About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Dynamics 365 Migration Engineer to support secure, compliant migrations from on-premises Dynamics CRM environments to Dynamics 365 Online for Government (GCC/GCC-High) and DoD environments.

You will collaborate with solution architects, engineering, and customers to ensure reliable migration execution aligned with Microsoft's compliance and Secure Future Initiative (SFI) standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute full-cycle Dynamics CRM On-Prem Dynamics 365 Online migrations
  • Support migrations for GCC, GCC-High, and DoD cloud environments
  • Perform pre-migration readiness checks, data validation, and environment assessments
  • Monitor/troubleshoot migration issues across:
    • SQL Server
    • Azure Storage
    • IIS / Virtual Machines
  • Collaborate with FastTrack, Engineering, and Azure Operations to resolve blockers
  • Document migration processes, error handling, and optimization recommendations
  • Work directly with customers & partners to understand requirements and pain points
  • Ensure compliance with government security and DoD data-handling standards
  • Flexibility to support weekend migration windows as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Active Tier 2 Public Trust (T2) or higher clearance (DoD preferred)
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Experience supporting government cloud environments ( GCC/GCC-High/DoD )
  • Understanding of:
    • Dynamics CRM On-Prem & Dynamics 365 Online architecture
    • Upgrade paths and Microsoft ecosystem
  • SQL proficiency - performance troubleshooting, backup/restore
  • Experience troubleshooting IIS & CRM web components
  • Basic Azure administration (VMs, networking, storage, RBAC)
  • Basic Power Platform and Dataverse administration knowledge
  • Strong analytical & troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with incident ticketing systems
  • Strong customer-facing communication and collaboration skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight timelines
  • Solid problem-solving and customer-management abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Focus on security, compliance, documentation, and customer success

Nice to Have
