ANNOUNCEMENT
Due to unprecedented growth in Central Ohio, the Mid-Ohio Water and Sewer District is currently seeking highly motivated, skilled candidates to fill a vacant Collection & Distribution Utility Worker role with the District. Responsibilities include performing preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance tasks on water distribution and wastewater collection system infrastructure including sanitary sewer system cleaning and inspection, fire hydrant maintenance and repair, water valve maintenance, water and sewer main repair and replacement, meter reading and replacement, utility line and leak locating.
QUALIFICATIONS
Equivalent to a high school diploma with a general knowledge of math and mechanical systems; experience working within a water distribution system and/or wastewater collection system preferred; possession of an Ohio Environmental Protection Agency Class I Water Distribution and/or Class I Wastewater Collection System operator certification or higher preferred, but not required; minimum Class A Commercial Driver License preferred, but not required; experience working with hand tools and power equipment preferred; experience working in underground construction or operating construction equipment highly desired.
