Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Golf course in Morgantown, West Virginia is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
Duties:
• Prioritize and assign work to maintenance staff.
• Provide supervision, training and development of grounds staff to promote team engagement and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with the maintenance staff, including mechanic to maintain all equipment.
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides under the direction of the Superintendent.
• Monitor worksites to ensure compliance with established methods, guidelines, standards, and procedures.
• Establish a good rapport with team members and project a positive attitude.
• Assist in daily course setup.
Requirements:
Knowledge of turf control products and their applications.
Knowledge of irrigation utilization and soil moisture readers.
Have a current state pesticide applicator license or ability to obtain one.
A bachelors, associates or certificate in turfgrass management or related experience.
A proactive leader and hands-on contributor who thrives in a high performance environment.
2 or 4 year degree.
1-2 years management experience.
Current WV applicators license or ability to obtain one.
Compensation:
$50,000 – $55,000 per year.
