Water Treatment Operator (Temp-to-Perm)

Summary

We are seeking a Water Treatment Operator to support daily operations, maintenance, and testing at a water/wastewater treatment facility. This role ensures proper operation of equipment, quality control, and compliance with state regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED

• Valid Driver’s License

• Oklahoma C-level Wastewater Certification (required)

• 12+ months with State-approved D-level Wastewater Certification

• Knowledge of water/wastewater treatment processes, valves, pumps, motors, and lab testing

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, data management systems, PLCs, and SCADA systems

Responsibilities

• Operate treatment facilities to control flow and processing of water/wastewater, sludge, and effluent

• Monitor gauges, meters, and control panels; record readings in shift logs

• Collect samples and perform routine lab tests and analyses

• Observe operating conditions, interpret results, and recommend adjustments

• Start/stop pumps, engines, and generators as required

• Operate valves and gates (manual or remote)

• Report issues to lead operator/supervisor and take corrective action as directed

• Perform routine maintenance and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards
