Role Overview

As a Water Treatment Plant Operator, you’ll play a critical role in operating and maintaining advanced water treatment systems to ensure a consistent supply of high-quality water for essential facilities, including hospitals and commercial properties. Your key duties include:

• Operating and managing systems like Chemical Dosing, Ion Exchange Filtration, Ultraviolet Disinfection, and Reverse Osmosis.
• Monitoring and fine-tuning process controls and chemical dosing for optimal performance.
• Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with Maryland regulatory standards.
• Collaborating with colleagues to enhance system efficiency and reliability.

What We Require

We’re seeking a driven, technically proficient individual who thrives in dynamic, field-based environments. Essential qualifications include:

• Mandatory Certification : Active Class T2 or T4 Water Treatment Operator Certification from the Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE), critical for ensuring compliance and operational expertise.
• Strong knowledge of water treatment processes and technologies.
• Preferred experience with chemical injection and ion exchange systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
