Registered Nurse Job Details

Assignment Type: Travel RN, On-Site

Duration: 8-week contract
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1570 - $1610
Shift: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (06:45 – 19:15)
Total Hours per Week: 36
Unit: Outpatient Surgery Operating Room (Ambulatory OR)
Patient Population: Pediatrics, Adults, Geriatrics
Unit Features: 13 OR rooms, Epic charting (required), Pyxis, SBAR communication
Scrub Color: Provided by facility
Floating: Yes, within OR departments
Call Requirements: Late coverage for surgical cases
Weekend Shifts: No weekends required
Holiday Coverage: Required if assignment includes major holidays
Maximum RTO: 7 days (must be submitted with application)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia or Compact state (required at time of submission)
Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience (first-time travel nurses welcome)
BLS certification (required)
Experience with Epic electronic charting system (required)
Ambulatory OR or outpatient surgery RN experience preferred
Ability to float within OR departments
Submit compliance documents and schedule labs within 48 hours of contract signing
Two supervisory references (manager or above) highly preferred

Outpatient RN Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care for patients undergoing outpatient surgical procedures
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
Utilize Epic for accurate electronic charting and patient record management
Assist with various surgical procedures including orthopedic, gynecological, ENT, and general surgeries
Float to other OR departments as needed to support clinical operations
Provide late coverage to ensure completion of all surgical cases
Follow universal protocols, facility policies, specimen handling, and time-out procedures
Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling, including major holidays if required
