Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Service Manager to play an essential leadership role in refining operations. This position is crucial to overseeing process and technical aspects, ensuring the refinery's operations are not only efficient but also adhere to high safety and profitability standards. The successful candidate will lead teams in Process Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, Quality, and Control Systems, focusing on operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead and develop cross-functional teams including Process Engineering, Project Management, Analytical Chemistry, Quality Assurance, and Control Systems to optimize daily operations and align with strategic objectives.
• Provide expert technical guidance in process engineering, control systems, and analytical functions.
• Mentor and nurture engineering talent to ensure robust development and performance management.
• Collaborate with Economics & Planning and Operations teams to set and achieve process targets, monitor unit performance, and manage deviations.
• Ensure compliance with process safety and environmental standards to maintain operational integrity and reliability.
• Coordinate contractor activities, emphasizing safety, quality, and timely project completion.
• Deliver engineering support to enhance plant operations, focusing on optimization, safety, and environmental performance.
• Manage budgets related to projects, capital improvements, and planning, ensuring cost-effective solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline; an MBA is advantageous.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the refining or renewable fuels industry, with a robust background in refinery operations and process engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in a managerial role within engineering leadership.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in the renewable energy sector, especially in renewable fuels production.
• Demonstrable expertise in renewable fuels technologies and operations.
