Job Description

Akkodis is seeking an SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) for a Contract with a client in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level Linux infrastructure to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing systems.

Rate Range: $53/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

SRE (Site Reliability Engineer) Job Responsibilities Include

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-level Linux infrastructure for high availability and security.
• Administer and optimize physical and virtual Linux servers, ensuring compliance with security best practices.
• Develop automation scripts using Perl, Python, or PowerShell to streamline operations and monitoring.
• Manage and maintain SQL Server and Sybase databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain applications on servers, including patching and upgrades.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across infrastructure, applications, and network components.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience managing Linux infrastructure in large enterprise environments.
• Expertise in scripting (Perl, Python, or PowerShell) and automation for system monitoring and optimization.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with proven ability to manage IoT systems and ensure security compliance.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $60.00 per hour
