Job Title: Senior Java backend Developer with (GCP, OR Azure)
Location: Dallas, TX -Remote
Position Type: 12 Months contract with a possibility of extension based on the performance.
Job Description:
Provides technical expertise to help construct the product roadmap, acts as subject matter expert and technical leader for development team.
Leads complex feature and/or epic level development efforts.
Role will work with Product and UX teams to be part of a team of engineers in developing elegant code, state-of-the-art responsive customer experiences and build industry leading experiences.
Partner with application owners, business partners and peer groups regarding long and short-range technical solutions that meet business requirements
Work with a cross-functional team, uses agile practices, writes, debugs, and delivers code
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of competitive products, services and trends through research of bleeding-edge technology and trends
Develop applications/web services and cloud native apps using Java/J2EE, REST API, Spring Framework, , Spring Security, Oracle and other tech stacks (Open source and proprietary)
Lead discussions with stakeholders from User Experience, Architecture, and Operations
Will be responsible for end-to-end application delivery including coordination with required teams for production deployment. Continuously checking and monitoring App health and KPIs, support triage of any production issues as and when needed
Produce solid, thoroughly tested features
Review complex coding work of other Developers
Be an advocate of security best practices, champion and support the importance of security within engineering
Serve as a technical Subject Matter Expert, may provide industry expertise as well.
Mentor more junior team members
Required Qualifications
7+ years of overall IT/Digital development experience
7+ years of experience developing microservices and cloud native apps using Java/J2EE, REST APIs, Spring Core, Spring MVC Framework, Spring Boot Framework JPA (Java Persistence API) (Or any other ORM), Spring Security and similar tech stacks (Open source and proprietary), with any Relational Database (Oracle, PostgreSQL etc.)
3+ years of experience working with Unit testing using framework such as Junit, Mockito, JBehave
3+ years of experience Build and deploy services using Gradle, Maven, Jenkins etc. as part of CI/CD process
2+ years of experience with agile development required
2+ years of experience with any cloud (Preferably Google Cloud Platform or Azure )
