What might your days look like

As our Accountant, you’ll play a crucial role for Employment Hero. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and other accountants to manage all of our day-to-day accounting, including reconciliations, journals, and accruals. You will also have exposure to inter-company and FX transactions.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work at a fast pace. You will be responsible for running the day-to-day accounts while also maintaining compliance. We’re seeking a commercially-minded accountant with great critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities will include

• Reconciliation of daily bank accounts across all global entities
• Reconciliation of company credit cards and spend management platforms
• Supporting Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes
• Preparing journal entries including prepayments, accruals, depreciation, intercompany transactions
• Ownership of the Fixed Assets Register
• Completion of month end balance sheet reconciliations ensuring that all reconciliation issues are investigated and resolved
• Assist in the external audits
• Assisting the Finance Manager with ad hoc tasks and involvement in standardising and optimising financial accounting processes
• Reconciliation and variance analysis of Company Spends

What Will You Bring

• At least 1 years’ worth of experience in a similar role
• Currently studying for CA/CPA qualification (or are looking to start this)
• Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• Experience with NetSuite is highly advantageous
• Hungry, creative, enthusiastic, and data-driven with a diverse skill set
• Thrives in an environment of fast growth and ambiguity
• Strong planning and organisational skills with aptitude to learn and complete work within agreed deadlines
• Analytical skills to interpret and present accurate financial data
• Have strong communication, presentation, listening skills and ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
• Possess excellent decision making and problem-solving skills
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
