Job Description
Job Summary: Our client is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) II to join their healthcare team. The RN II is a licensed staff nurse and an experienced clinician who functions at the Competent to Proficient stage of Benner's clinical practice model. The role involves providing professional nursing care to diverse patients, conducting nursing assessments, assisting with exams and treatments, patient education, and maintaining medical records. The RN II will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure compassionate, efficient, and quality care for patients. This is a leadership role with progressive responsibilities and may include serving as a charge nurse or preceptor to students or new employees.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing or higher from an accredited School of Nursing
Experience Requirements:
At least 12 months of Neonatal registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment
Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations Required:
Texas RN license or temporary TX RN license (permanent license must be obtained within 90 days)
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
Other credentials and certifications as defined by unit/service line
ANCC-recognized certification in applicable specialty area (preferred)
