MRI Technologist – PRN

📍  Florence, SC

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused   PRN MRI Technologist   to join our team in Florence, SC. This role is responsible for performing high-quality MRI scans while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with all regulatory standards.

• Perform scans efficiently and accurately, ensuring high-quality imaging.
• Gather patient and procedure data; assess patient condition to determine best imaging approach.
• Screen for contraindications (e.g., ferrous/RF-sensitive materials) before MRI procedures.
• Position and prepare patients; select appropriate immobilization devices.
• Review orders and patient history to optimize scan parameters.
• Administer contrast agents per regulations; monitor patient status throughout.
• Evaluate images for diagnostic quality; perform additional scans if needed.
• Accurately document procedures, patient data, and QA activities.
• Archive images per protocol; maintain efficient workflow and supply use.
• Deliver exceptional patient care and clear communication.
• Ensure equipment functionality and perform routine checks.
• Follow safety, radiation protection, and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in training, continuing education, and cross-training as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold MedQuest standards.

Education:

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
• ARRT registered with advanced registry in MRI
• Must complete required CEU’s in a timely manner to ensure Certification remains active
• Active state licensure, where applicable
• CPR Certification is required

Prior Experience:

• 0+ years of experience as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist, required
• 2+ years of experience as an MRI Technologist, preferred

Special Qualifications:

• IV skills required
• Knowledge of MRI procedures and standards
• Demonstrate adequate knowledge of anatomy
• Skill in operation of MRI equipment
• Customer service background and focus
