Overview:
MRI Technologist – PRN
📍 Florence, SC
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and patient-focused PRN MRI Technologist to join our team in Florence, SC. This role is responsible for performing high-quality MRI scans while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with all regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scans efficiently and accurately, ensuring high-quality imaging.
- Gather patient and procedure data; assess patient condition to determine best imaging approach.
- Screen for contraindications (e.g., ferrous/RF-sensitive materials) before MRI procedures.
- Position and prepare patients; select appropriate immobilization devices.
- Review orders and patient history to optimize scan parameters.
- Administer contrast agents per regulations; monitor patient status throughout.
- Evaluate images for diagnostic quality; perform additional scans if needed.
- Accurately document procedures, patient data, and QA activities.
- Archive images per protocol; maintain efficient workflow and supply use.
- Deliver exceptional patient care and clear communication.
- Ensure equipment functionality and perform routine checks.
- Follow safety, radiation protection, and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in training, continuing education, and cross-training as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold MedQuest standards.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
- ARRT registered with advanced registry in MRI
- Must complete required CEU’s in a timely manner to ensure Certification remains active
- Active state licensure, where applicable
- CPR Certification is required
Prior Experience:
- 0+ years of experience as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist, required
- 2+ years of experience as an MRI Technologist, preferred
Special Qualifications:
- IV skills required
- Knowledge of MRI procedures and standards
- Demonstrate adequate knowledge of anatomy
- Skill in operation of MRI equipment
- Customer service background and focus
