Job Description

Job Title: MRI Technologist

Location: New York, NY

Type: Contract

Schedule: Variable shifts, Monday–Friday, every other weekend required

Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM (includes 60-minute break)

Compensation: $2,500 per week

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking MRI Technologist  for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI scans in accordance with established protocols to ensure diagnostic image quality.
  • Administer contrast agents safely, in compliance with licensing and facility requirements.
  • Prepare and position patients appropriately, ensuring safety, comfort, and adherence to MRI safety guidelines.
  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond to any concerns or adverse reactions.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot MRI equipment and associated imaging systems.
  • Accurately document procedures and patient data using EMR, RIS, PACS, and other systems.
  • Comply with all regulatory standards, including Joint Commission and internal safety policies.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain required certifications and participate in continuing education to stay current with industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiography program; high school diploma or GED required.
  • Licensure/Certifications (all required):
    • Valid New York State Radiography License
    • NYS Certification to Inject Contrast Media
    • ARRT Certification in both Radiography and MRI
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent MRI experience in a clinical setting.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient with EMR, RIS, PACS, and other imaging software.
  • Compliance: Must meet all safety and compliance requirements per Joint Commission standards.
