Mental Health Technician

Sierra Health and Wellness  uses evidence-based methods to accomplish the restoration of families, relationships, and self-worth. By transforming the character, we give life back to the people who have lost it through substance abuse and mental health issues. 

Our brand new, 15-bed, mental health facility crisis residential program is located in Orangevale, Ca. Our inpatient facility serves voluntary clients who receive specialized and personal care from our staff. 

Positions available : 

• Full time: Friday-Sunday, and Tuesday (NOCS)

Essential Functions:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

• Provides care to patients in a manner that promotes safety, comfort, and the therapeutic environment.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living; attends to patient behavioral issues and provides assistance in crisis intervention, as needed.
• Works with a multidisciplinary team in leading milieu activities such as current events groups, community meetings, life skills, and/or recreational activities, as appropriate to the specified population.
• Charts patient observations, following policy and procedures requirements/mandates.
• Participates in the development and implementation of treatment programs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient and all records.
• Transports patients to and from community appointments, clinics, labs, and/or treatments, as and when appropriate.
• Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, and safety, environmental and infection control standards.
• Document and utilize Electronic Medical Record.
• Attend all mandatory staff meetings, group sessions, and in-service education.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• One year experience working directly with patients in a program serving people with mental illness.
• Must possess High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid California’s Driver’s License
• Current CPR certification
• Current First Aid certification

Hourly: $21.00- $27.00
Per Diem: Hourly: $23.50

The posted pay range is a reasonable estimate that the organization believes in good faith it may pay for this particular job based on the circumstances at the time of posting.  This pay range is not a promise of a particular wage.  Pay may consider several factors including but not limited to internal equity, experience, specialty, training, hours/shifts worked, business need, and education. Pay ranges may be adjusted in the future depending upon many factors including business needs.
