Job Title: Medical Science Liaison
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Medical Science Liaison with strong scientific and clinical expertise in oncology to join our client. This remote, direct-hire position will focus on building and maintaining meaningful relationships with healthcare providers and key opinion leaders across the Midwest region (Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi), with a strong preference for candidates based in Texas. The role centers on advancing oncology research, supporting innovative diagnostic solutions, and ensuring accurate scientific exchange that enhances patient outcomes.
Compensation:
$182,000 base salary
Total compensation up to $225,000
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, standard business hours
Frequent travel required (up to 70%)
Key Responsibilities of the Medical Science Liaison:
Act as a trusted scientific liaison to healthcare providers in the oncology field, focusing on advanced diagnostic solutions.
Build and sustain strong relationships with key opinion leaders through scientific exchange and collaboration.
Provide clinical and scientific insights that support product value and appropriate use.
Partner with cross-functional teams by delivering accurate and balanced information to support commercial strategy.
Address inquiries from healthcare professionals with timely and evidence-based responses.
Contribute to the development of provider and patient educational materials.
Ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory standards while following internal processes.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills for the Medical Science Liaison:
Advanced degree in a related scientific or healthcare discipline.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MSL or in a similar role, with oncology expertise required; diagnostic industry experience preferred.
Proven ability to communicate complex scientific content effectively to diverse audiences.
Strong interpersonal, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability and willingness to travel extensively (up to 70%).
