Akkodis is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer/Robotics Engineer for a contract job with a client in Fremont, CA . Responsibilities include developing and manufacturing an autonomous delivery robot platform and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient production and quality control.
Rate Range: $45/hour to $48/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Mechanical Design Engineer/Robotics Engineer job responsibilities include:
Develop and manufacture an autonomous delivery robot platform.
Collaborate with Hardware Engineering and Technician teams to prepare for product launch.
Manage day-to-day production and respond to quality issues on the frontline.
Ensure component traceability for product shipments and maintain production documentation.
Interface with Design-Responsible Engineers (DREs) to bring products to reality.
Scale and sustain the manufacturing of next-generation delivery robots.
Set up and manage quality control processes to ensure product consistency and reliability.
Desired Qualifications:
BS or MS in Manufacturing Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in robotics, micro-mobility, autonomous vehicles, or automotive.
Experience supporting production lines with operators and technicians.
Strong communication, documentation, and quality control setup experience.
