- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 2 years of proven experience in mechanical design and development, preferably within industrial machinery.
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks) and a solid understanding of engineering principles (mechanics, kinematics, materials science).
- Experience with engineering simulation and analysis tools is highly desirable.
- Ability to read, interpret, and create technical drawings with a strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a systematic approach to overcoming design challenges.
- Ability to work effectively both independently on design projects and collaboratively within a multinational team environment. Seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with a passion for innovation and a talent for transforming concepts into reliable, high-performance products. In this role, you will be engaged in the development of our glass processing machinery, working from our R&D center in Hangzhou, China.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop innovative mechanical systems and components for industrial machinery, creating detailed 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using CAD software.
- Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate designs and ensure they meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.
- Lead the prototyping process, collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) implementation.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including Bill of Materials (BOM), engineering specifications, and design review presentations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve design-related issues that arise during prototyping, testing, and initial production phases, implementing effective and sustainable solutions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Electrical, Software, and Production Engineering, to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical design technologies to drive continuous improvement.
