We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing team in Charlottesville, VA. This is a full-time, on-site role with a salary range of $65,000 – $75,000. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
In this role, you will design and engineer mechanical solutions for industrial and manufacturing clients. Your work will include performing fieldwork at client sites, taking measurements, and developing design concepts using CAD software. You will collaborate with project teams to create construction documents and present designs to both internal teams and external stakeholders. Your ability to manage small projects independently while working effectively within a team will be key to your success.
To qualify, you will need a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) from an ABET-accredited institution and 2–5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing facility design. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, and Plant3D is required. Familiarity with mechanical systems such as HVAC, piping, pumps, and motors, as well as knowledge of P&IDs and industry codes, is essential. EIT certification and a desire to pursue a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license are a plus. U.S. citizenship or permanent residency is required.
