JOB TITLE: Manufacturing Engineer 4 - Assembly and Installation

LOCATION: San Antonio, TX

PAY RATE: $68-80/hour

Summary:

• Subject Matter Expert (SME) within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) supporting product development, complex producibility studies, and production/tooling philosophies.

• Manages program architecture for build, develops and optimizes manufacturing plans, resolves technical problems, and provides guidance through mentoring.

• Supports Lean Enterprise analysis and documents producibility best practices.

• Implement design and build plan changes while minimizing disruption and maximizing benefits

• Integrate changes across affected commodities and execute Build Integration milestones

• Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports

• Oversee and approve technical approaches, products, and processes

• Provide visibility on active engineering design changes, associated risks, and ensure design reviews progress appropriately

• Facilitate collaboration and integration across affected commodities

• Develop and implement manufacturing plans and installation planning (including shipside in San Antonio)

• Support team performance through process and tool improvement initiatives

• Non-managerial, non-leadership role

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in STEM (ABET-accredited) + 10+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience

• 5+ years' experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications

• 5+ years' experience supporting engineering technical data packages for aircraft parts/components

• 5+ years' experience using professional/technical writing and collaborating to solve technical issues

• Experience with CATIA

• Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Skills:

• 5+ years' experience with IVT

• Experience with GoldEsp

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
