Litigation Associates

Multiple openings for Litigation Associates with a growing well established firm. 2 days on site is preferred, remote is possible for the right skill set.

The attorney in this role will serve as defense counsel for individuals and organizations involved in class actions, regulatory investigations, and complex data privacy and cybersecurity matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage class actions and complex data privacy matters on a day-to-day basis under the guidance of a supervising Partner.

  • Handle privacy-related tort, contract, and statutory claims brought by individual plaintiffs against both individuals and institutional defendants.

  • Represent clients before regulatory agencies and support clients throughout regulatory investigations.

  • Draft pleadings, discovery responses, and other legal documents in a timely manner.

  • Oversee collection, review, and production of documents, including coordination with e-discovery vendors.

  • Appear on behalf of clients—or provide second-chair support to a supervising Partner—during civil proceedings, oral arguments, and contested hearings.

  • Provide consistent and timely reporting to clients.

  • Identify, evaluate, and vet experts and external vendors for client and Partner approval.

  • Conduct legal research for client matters and deliver updates on evolving legal and regulatory issues.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of experience as an Associate in a litigation practice group.

  • Active license to practice law in Pennsylvania or in the attorney’s primary state of residence; additional bar memberships are a plus.

  • Class action or complex litigation experience, preferably on the defense side.

  • Hands-on experience with large-scale document productions and working with e-discovery vendors.

  • Courtroom experience, including arguments and hearings, is a plus.

  • Prior exposure to regulatory investigations preferred.

  • Strong legal research and writing abilities.

  • Strategic and analytical thinking skills.

  • High level of ownership, initiative, and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Ability to learn quickly and work efficiently.

  • Experience with timekeeping and billing practices.
