Ash & Harris Executive Search is looking for a School-Based Occupational Therapist
Overview:
Embark on a rewarding journey as a School-Based Occupational Therapist in the vibrant community of Pensacola. This role empowers students to excel in their daily activities through targeted therapy interventions, making a profound difference in their lives within an educational framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to enhance students' fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and daily living capabilities.
- Lead therapy sessions focusing on exercises to stretch, strengthen, and increase flexibility, restoring joint motion and muscle strength.
- Assist students with developmental delays in achieving independence in tasks such as dressing, toileting, and feeding.
- Address sensory processing and attention challenges to improve focus and social interactions in the classroom.
- Support students with behavioral disorders by teaching anger management strategies and coping skills.
- Evaluate and recommend specialized equipment (e.g., wheelchairs, communication aids) tailored to student needs.
Requirements:
Education:
- Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy (Master’s or Clinical Doctorate).
Experiences:
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities.
- Proficient in documentation and report writing.
Other:
- Exceptional organizational skills and adaptability in dynamic environments.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive attitude.
- Open to H1B candidates already licensed in the United States.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: $35 - $40 per hour
