Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and manage the HVAC installation team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly production goals.
- Train new and existing staff on installation best practices, safety procedures, and company standards.
- Monitor and manage department gross margins, ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are met or exceeded.
- Conduct weekly install and communication meetings to align the team and address any issues.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the department, including identifying opportunities for add-on sales.
- Oversee equipment staging and ensure all materials are prepared for upcoming jobs.
- Maintain high standards of customer service by responding promptly to customer concerns and ensuring quality installations.
- Review installation job photos daily, provide feedback, and address any issues on-site as needed.
- Process warranty items and manage the return of unneeded parts on a weekly basis.
- Order and manage inventory for the install department, including daily stock evaluation and price checks.
- Supervise truck stock and equipment, ensuring proper replenishment and organization.
- Hold installers accountable for timely job starts and provide guidance during standby periods.
- Uphold and model company core values, policies, and safety programs at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the warehouse, vehicles, and tools.
- Coordinate annual maintenance for install vehicles and heavy equipment.
- Support other managers during absences and perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
- Allen County HVAC Supervisory License
- Strong ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a respectful and positive manner.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and customers.
