SW Funk Industrial is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Carpenter Foreman to join our team in Newport News, VA. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading carpentry crews and delivering high-quality results.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee and coordinate daily activities of carpentry crews
· Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and safety regulations
· Interpret drawings and specifications
· Order materials and supplies
· Lead, train, and mentor a team of carpenters, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
· Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy
· Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to coordinate work activities and resolve issues.
· Communicate effectively with clients
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Carpenter Foreman
· Extensive knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials
· Strong leadership and communication skills
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
· Proficiency in using hand and power tools
· Experience with interior finishes, masonry, concrete, and other carpentry skills
