Do you have a passion for literacy, learning, and engaging with children and families? We’re looking for a dynamic, creative and collaborative Elementary Librarian to join our KidSpace team at the Main Library location. This role focuses on delivering outstanding services to children, caregivers, and educators through innovative programs, exceptional reference and readers’ advisory services and strong community connections.

In this role you will:

• Provide readers' advisory and reference services.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide high-quality programs and services.
• Plan and present activities, programs and events.
• Serve as a Person in Charge in the absence of a manager.
• Assist customers with technology-related questions, library equipment and explain library policies.

We are looking for someone who is:

•  Customer-focused, enthusiastic, friendly and empathetic.
• Knowledgeable of child development and age-appropriate programming.
•  Skilled in public speaking, program delivery and audience engagement.

Qualifications:

• MLS/MLIS from an ALA-accredited library school.

• Experience working with children.

• Previous public Library experience preferred.

• Bilingual English/Spanish skills desirable.

Full-time position (37.5 hours/week). Schedule includes weekday, evening, and weekend hours.

Salary: $62,517-$65,642 per year. Offers will be made within this range based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Plus, excellent benefits.
