Cook for Assisted Living
- Part-time 1 st and 2 nd Shifts
Prepare delicious, home-style meals for older adults in a faith-based environment.
DaySpring Assisted Living is looking for a
Cook to join our dedicated kitchen team and contribute to our mission of "Serving Older Adults with God's Love". If you are passionate about serving others and thrive in a supportive Christian atmosphere where the goal is to provide excellent food service for older adults, we want to hear from you!
Includes 1 8-hour day during the week and every other weekend for 1st and 2nd shifts.
This position is great for someone who is looking for part-time work and has experience in large-batch cooking.

Position Details: - Schedules Available :
- 1st Shift : 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM - Part-Time (16 hours/ week, + additional hours when available.)
- 2nd Shift : 11:30 AM - 7:30 PM- Part-Time (16 hours/week, + additional hours when available)
Pay : $16.00 – $18.50 per hour,
Credit for experience, training, and certification Job Type :
- Part-time, 1 day/week plus every other weekend. Relief/additional hours when available.
Key Responsibilities: - Prepare great meals: for up to 100 residents following established menus and guidelines.
- Ensure food quality : Present meals that exceed the expectations of residents and meet all food safety regulations.
- Food prep and kitchen maintenance : Assist with food preparation, clean-up, dishwashing, sanitizing kitchen equipment, cleaning kitchen, and storing supplies.
- Work as a team : Collaborate with other kitchen staff to maintain smooth and efficient operation.
Qualifications: - Experience in large-batch cooking preferred (healthcare, catering, banquet service, schools, or restaurant environment).
- Applicants should have a strong work history, reliability, and a heart for service.
- Passionate about working in a Christian, faith-based environment, and dedicated to serving older adults with compassion and excellence.
