Job Description
Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a Computer Operations Technician to join their team. As a Computer Operations Technician, you will be part of the IT Operations department supporting the Command Center. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Computer Operations Technician
**Location: Phoenix, AZ (Onsite)**
**Pay Range:** $35-$40/hr
**What's the Job?**
+ Support branch-related outages and incidents involving networks and ATMs to ensure maximum network availability.
+ Monitor and resolve or escalate outages for Bank services and applications, facilitating vendor access within systems and networks.
+ Oversee batch production job restarts, holds, submissions, and releases, ensuring smooth operation of enterprise critical path batch schedules.
+ Work closely with end users and vendors to resolve incidents or escalate complex issues to the appropriate parties.
+ Maintain service management documentation and support efforts for system mainframe operations.
**What's Needed?**
+ High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in Computer operations, or an Associate's Degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
+ Knowledge of IBM Mainframe and Open Systems, with experience operating computer equipment in a centralized data center.
+ Ability to be on call 24/7 on a rotating basis.
+ Experience with Control-M, ServiceNow, or similar ticketing and incident management systems.
+ Familiarity with batch scheduling, mainframe support, and networking, particularly with z/OS.
