Job Title: Clinical Research Assistant

Job Schedule: M-F 40-hours/week
Position Summary
The Clinical Research Assistant supports liver disease research protocols, including clinical trials focused on hepatology, liver fibrosis, and transplant-related studies. This role involves direct patient interaction, data collection, and coordination of study procedures in compliance with IRB, FDA, and GCP standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist with patient recruitment, screening, and informed consent for liver-related studies
• Schedule and coordinate diagnostic procedures (e.g., Fibroscan, liver biopsy, CT/MRI)
• Collect and process biological specimens (blood, urine) per protocol
• Record vital signs, administer ECGs, and monitor infusion therapy sessions
• Maintain accurate and timely data entry in EDC systems
• Upload imaging and biopsy results to centralized databases
• Track study inventory, lab kits, and expiration dates
• Communicate with sponsors, labs, and regulatory bodies as needed
• Attend off-site clinics for liver scans on a rotating basis
• Support monthly reporting and audit preparation
Qualifications (Required)
Bachelor's degree in health sciences
1+ year clinical research experience
Phlebotomy skills
EMR and Microsoft Office proficiency
BLS Certification
Qualifications (Preferred)
Hepatology or GI study background
Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)
Experience with EDC platforms (e.g., REDCap)
Spanish or Mandarin language skills
