Pay Range: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year

Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist for our Morris Cancer Center at the New Brunswick campus.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • BSN
  • At least 2 years of nursing experience in the Oncology specialty area in a hospital or clinic setting
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient computer skills

Preferred:

  • Must obtain MSN within two years of hire
  • Certification as an Oncology Nurse preferred or within one year of hire

Certifications and Licenses Required:

  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

Scheduling Requirements :

  • Day Shift, 40 hours per week
  • Full-Time

Essential Functions:

  • There are several components to the role, including that of educator, consultant and researcher.
  • The Nurse Practice Act of the State of New Jersey defines the scope of the position and adherence to the policies and Standard Operating Procedures set forth by the Morris Cancer Center.
  • Demonstrates competency in recognizing the unique needs of patients and applying relevant treatment approaches for adult oncology patients.
  • Assures safety in practice and is inclusive of the principles of evidence-based practice by maintaining a realization of own individual level of knowledge and experience and assumes responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others of the patient care team by communication with and utilizing resource persons and programs available.
  • Responsible for supervising and directing the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other patient care providers.
