Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Cellar Master, the Cellar/Bottling Lead position tends to the day-to-day operation of cellar equipment. Position performs advanced and complex tasks requiring specialized knowledge, judgment, independent decision making and detailed knowledge of all positions and procedures. The Cellar/Bottling Lead is held accountable daily for a given cellar crew and a given workload. Will be responsible for directing, leading, and training less skilled workers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
•  Cellar Responsibilities - 60%
•  Leads, develops, trains, and follows safe operating procedures, support safety programs and policies to safeguard personal safety, company property, environmental and team member's safety.
•  Leads, develops, trains, and follows all cellar sanitation standards and procedures to drive Right First Time Quality.
•  Understands and promotes teamwork among personnel, demonstrates leadership and professionalism, serves as a role model.
•  Lead teams and responsible for daily effectiveness of work order allocation and tasks to achieve results.
•  Leads, develops, trains, and follows on Cellar tasks: Clean & sanitize equipment, apply good housekeeping practices, perform wine movements, shipping and receiving, top tanks and barrels, use of chemicals and additives to juice/wine, operate advanced and complex equipment, measure and calculate workplace data.
•  Leads, develops, trains, and follows advanced and complex cellar activities including assembling blends, add fining agents for clarify wine, etc.
•  Leads, develops, trains and be an active participant in any CI/Lean programs like 5S program.
•  Responsible for compliance with sustainability policies and practices, which are economically viable, socially acceptable, and environmentally sound. This is done by supporting programs at each location for conservation, energy efficiency, and recycling, which are critical for our operations to achieve tangible environmental results.

Bottling/Warehouse Responsibilities - 40%
•  Preform all aspects of bottling - from sanitation, changeovers to production
•  Organize and manage all inbound and outbound bottling supplies, Finished Goods for accuracy and usage
•  Provide all OEM, Operational and Safety training to any/all Bottling Operators
•  Organize and execute loading/unloading of containers on a timely basis by reviewing and prioritizing orders/BOLs.
•  Creation and processing of all Work Orders, BOL's for Production and Shipping through Enterprise System.
•  Perform periodic and schedule cycle counts of dry and finished goods.
•  Support and Collaborate on Daily/Weekly Bottling and Shipping Performance Expectations
•  Design, develop, and maintain warehouse operation (SOP's)
•  Enforce plant Safety, GMP, Food Safety, HACCP, and Sanitation Procedures.
•  Develop and Maintain recycling program to support company values

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
•  Be proficient in basic computers skills: MS Word, MS Outlook, etc.
•  Must have excellent organizational skills
•  Basic understanding of TTB regulations, HACCP, and GMP.
•  Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be a team player who can work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter.
•  Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
•  Collaborates with other departments, co-workers, and administration.
•  Must be able to work various shifts and overtime as needed
•  Must know how to use hand tools, operate machinery, and possess basic math skills
•  Must have a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record

Experience & Qualifications:
•  High School Diploma/ GED and may require advanced education, training, or certifications.
•  8-15 years Cellar Operator understanding and experience
•  Forklift experience using various attachments (Squeeze lifts, bin dumpers)
•  Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written, through work orders.
