Position: Cashier Location: Mercato & Co Job Type: Full-time / Part-time

Overview:

We are looking for a friendly and detail-oriented cashier to join our team at Mercato & Co
The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, handle transactions efficiently, and ensure a smooth payment process for guests.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and assist with orders.
• Process payments via credit cards, and digital transactions.
• Accurately handle register operations
• Provide receipts and answer customer inquiries regarding pricing and menu items.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the cashier station.
• Assist with takeout orders and packaging when needed.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math skills and ability to handle transactions accurately.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask efficiently.
• Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and have a positive attitude, be able to work weekend
