Skill: BW HANA Consultant
Location: Dallas, TX - Remote/Hybrid okay
Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of professional experience in SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and SAP HANA development/architecture.
Technical (SAP):
Expert level proficiency in SAP Native HANA Modeling (SQLScript, Calculation Views, Stored Procedures).
Deep expertise in SAP BW 7.5 development, data flow, and administration.
Proven experience using SAP tools and methods to extract and provision data to non-SAP systems (e.g., ODP, Open Hub).
Communication: Ability to bridge the gap between SAP technical details and external platform requirements.
Databricks / Lakehouse: Familiarity with the Databricks Lakehouse Platform, Delta Lake, and the Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold Layers).
Functional Knowledge: Strong background or functional understanding of SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM) data and processes.
Required Skills:
Data Exposure & Pipeline Design: Design, build, and optimize all data extraction mechanisms from the SAP BW 7.5+ and Native HANA environments for external consumption.
HANA Modeling for External Access: Expertly leverage Native HANA artifacts (Calculation Views, Procedures) and BW objects (ADSOs, Composite Providers) as source endpoints for high-volume, real-time, or batch data extraction.
Solution Documentation & Governance: Define and document technical specifications, data lineage, and governance controls for all SAP-sourced data being exported.
Supply Chain Focus (Preferred): Utilize deep knowledge of Supply Chain data structures (MM, PP, SD) to structure SAP data for maximum usability and semantic richness in the Databricks Gold Layer.
Job Description:
SAP BW on HANA Implementation: Lead and oversee end-to-end SAP BW on HANA implementation projects, ensuring successful project delivery, meeting client requirements, and adhering to best practices. BW Object conversion from older DSO/Cubes/MP/Infoset to ADSO & HCPR. Native HANA Modeling.
Data Modeling: Design and develop data models using SAP BW on HANA, optimizing performance and ensuring data integrity.
Data Extraction and Transformation: Create efficient data extraction and transformation processes to integrate data from various source systems into SAP BW on HANA.
Performance Tuning: Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in SAP BW on HANA applications, optimizing system performance.
Data Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP BW on HANA with other SAP modules and external systems.
Reporting and Analytics: Develop and enhance BI reports and dashboards using SAP BW and related tools (e.g., SAP BOBJ, SAP Analytics Cloud).
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of SAP BW on HANA solutions, including technical specifications, design documents, and user guides.
Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their business needs, provide expert advice, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
