Job Description



As an Associate Engineer I, you’ll perform entry-level engineering work like data collection and analysis, development of contract scopes of work and respond to inquiries received from the general public. You’ll also maintain City maps and records, attend meetings and assist with the design of public infrastructure and facilities.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours of course work with a grade of 2.5 or higher in the following course(s): engineering, engineering technology, science and technology, material science, computer science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), surveying, computer programming, data analysis, drafting, CAD, mathematics, physics, or business.

AND

  • A valid driver’s license at the time of application, and a valid Colorado driver’s license within 30 days of employment
    • License restrictions that may hinder your ability to drive on City business, such as an interlock, will be cause for disqualification 
    • During the course of employment, a valid license must be maintained, and the employee must notify the City immediately upon changes to the status of their license

  • An associate degree in civil engineering, civil engineering technology, or other engineering field
