Assistant Golf Course Superintendent
Club in Osterville, Massachusetts is looking for an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent.
Position Overview:
The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent will play a vital role in staff management and turf management. They will work closely with the Superintendent, fellow Assistant, Equipment Manager, and Irrigation Technician. They will be responsible for managing and coaching our AIT’s, interns, and seasonal staff members. Primary duties beyond management will be disease scouting, spraying, watering, course set up, and leading projects.
As an Assistant, you will be heavily involved in short-term and long-term planning, pest control management, budgeting, recruiting, member interactions and communications, planning and coordinating with the golf professional staff, and creating better practices for our department’s efficiency. The goal is to provide you with a comprehensive learning experience that will prepare you to step into a Superintendent role.
Requirements
• Graduated or approaching graduation in a Turfgrass Science (or related field) bachelor’s degree, associate degree, or certificate program is preferred.
• Ability to obtain a Massachusetts Pesticide Applicator License. Valid Driver’s License.
Compensation
$75,000 to $90,000 per year.
