Arborist (Climber)

Location: Brooklyn, NY
Salary: $60-80,000

Experienced climber wanted for full time position in Brooklyn, NY

Full benefits and PTO included.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

Perform all types of work required for the planting, maintenance and removal of trees and large shrubs.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Must have intricate working knowledge of advanced climbing and rigging techniques.
Must be able to install various complex cabling and tree support systems.
Advanced abilities and knowledge of chainsaw use, maintenance, and repair.
Must have valid driver's license and be able to operate various types of heavy machinery i.e. chipper, dump truck, stump grinder, skid steer, aerial lift/bucket, etc.
Knowledge of advanced diagnostic equipment i.e. resistograph, sonic tomography, etc. (preferred). Working knowledge of tree biomechanics is a must.
Rope splicing abilities (preferred).
Must be able to identify and treat structural defects, hazards, and various tree diseases.
5+ years experience as a climbing arborist
ISA Certified Arborist
TRAQ Certification
Pesticide Applicator License (preferred)
Driver's license
